lou sydel
Lou Sydel is a choreographer and facilitator whose work draws from the study of gesture and queerness. He is the artistic director of Gesture Theater, a trans-led movement company currently in residency at NYU Tisch through WADE. His administrative work is all about balancing short term projects with long term goals — most recently as Broken Box Mime Theater's company coordinator. He is a founding member of PhysFest, NYC's first ever Physical Theater festival at Stella Adler. Lou has a degree in interdisciplinary performance and anthropology from Bowdoin College, and has studied physical theater at the Accademia Dell'Arte. Lou dances regularly with the Ellen Robbins Alumni Group at NYLA.

Gilda Edelman
Gilda is assisting in the arrangement of JOP’s archives to include audiovisual materials, photographs, and ephemera. She has a background in ballet and trained pre-professionally with Boston Ballet School and American Ballet Theatre. Gilda earned her B.A. in political studies and Middle Eastern studies from Bard College, and is now working with the research divisions at the main branch of the New York Public Library while she completes her MSLIS at the Palmer School of Library & Information Science. Before returning to school, Gilda worked in a research capacity supporting fundraising operations for cultural and humanitarian nonprofits in New York.
